The success of the reissue of fatal frame could lead to a new title

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water was the last part of Koei Tecmo's horror game series. He has received many positive reviews from the points of sale of games and players after his launch in 2014. Unfortunately, however, the franchise has been suspended since then and no new payment has followed in its wake.

It was a very good news for Fatal Frame fans when it was announced during the Nintendo Direct event at E3 2021 that the game would extend over different platforms. It's been years that the game came out and it seems that it will have a new life on several platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, via a reissue.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will come back on October 28, 2021, with digital access for PS4 and PS5 players. The fans that will preorder the game will be able to get a Ryza workshop suit that only Yuri Kozukata can wear. In addition, there will also be a celebration DLC of the 20th anniversary that includes a digital art book, as well as emblematic costumes that the three characters can wear.

The producer of Fatal Frame, Keisuke Kikuchi, teased in a recent interview with the Japanese Famitsu magazine he would like a follow-up to this fatal frame opus, depending on the general reception of Maiden of Black Water by the community of players.

"We launch this game to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the series, and we hope that many fans will take the opportunity to play the game," Kikuchi admitted. "We would like it to lead to a new title. »

Obviously, Kikuchi's statement is not a confirmation that a Frame Frame Suite will be immediately in preparation after the reissue of the game. However, this seems promising enough for the producer of the series himself that the Series infested with ghosts is not dead - without words game.
