Horizon Forbidden West: Release on 2022 postponed, appointment for PS5 & PS4 is fixed

The rumors have confirmed: Horizon Forbidden West no longer appears this year. In a recent blog entry Sony and Guerrilla Games suggest that the publication takes place only 2022. A concrete date is available: The new Open World Action RPG appears on 18 February 2022 for PS5 and PlayStation 4. When the developers presented the first gameplay a few months ago, they went into the last phase of development. We were full of schedule, but we were not so sure if we could polish the game on the quality level we had in mind, commented Game Director Mathijs de Jonge.

Guerrilla Games had been severely affected by the global pandemic. We have to adapt to new workflows, procedures and other challenges as we protect our team and had a healthy work-life balance in the foreground, says the developer continues. Finally, you can now confirm the 18th of February 2022 as a release date for Horizon Forbidden West (Buy Now 79.99 €). The pre-orders are possible from 2 September.
