Dennis Grote will eat new captain at red-white - Grote

Grote, who moved from Chemnitzer FC to Essen in 2019, according to RWE head coach Christian Neidhart "an absolute role model function". The 34-year-old midfielder go "in the field by performance" and is therefore suitable as a captain. The native Kaiserslautlerer is also "the extended arm" of the coach on the square. The 2009 U-21 European Champion completed a total of 63 games for the Klub food and has been involved in 22 hits.

Daniel Davari takes over the role of Co-Captain in the coming season. The goalkeeper came last summer of red-white Oberhausen and releases Grote as a former vice-captain. The team council is completed by Daniel Heber, Zlatko Janjic and Jakob Golz. Compared to the preseason, RWE thus reduces the team council around one person.

Stick in Bonn

After the successful last season, in RWE the rise just missed, the red-white had to cope with some exits. Especially from the stable defensive, which had to accept only 28 heads in the last season only 28 goals in 40 seasonal games, some players have turned their back to the club. That's why the constant Dennis Grote before defense in the future is all the more important.

Red-white food starts on the 14th of August (14 o'clock) with a away game at Bonn SC in the new season. Grote will lead the team for the first time in a mandatory game on the field. The red-white hopes to be able to build on the achievements of the last time when the traditional club was second place behind climber Borussia Dortmund II.
