Forza Horizon 5 could be the best driving game of this generation

It's almost the hour of the Horizon Festival and fans around the world are eager to see the next iteration of the famous franchise. With a breathtaking trailer unveiled at Gamescom, we break down the many elements that could make Forza Horizon 5, the best game of the series.

Miscellaneous World

The trailer instantly highlights the interleaving and diversity of environments, starting with the edge of the snowy cliff of the volcano and down to the sandy valleys. With 11 biomes that mix perfectly, we have a glorious overview of Mexican agricultural lands and breathtaking tundras that we will cross when leaving the game in November.

Dynamic Weather

The seasons return to Forza Horizon 5, modifying the map allowing you to cross zones previously inaccessible. However, the weather plays an even more important role in the game. Dust storms can burst at any time, allowing you to live these fantasies of Mad Max. In addition, different parts of the card will have a weather adapted to its location, altitude and time, creating a varied experience.

Attention to detail

Yes, every game Forza looks amazing, but the minor details distinguish the last entry of others. The mud will react to the weather conditions and the weight of the car, splashing in several ways so that each path is unique. With Ray-Tracing, lighting is remarkable, creating an unprecedented level of realism that is a reference in video games.

Smooth rides

Benefiting from the largest number of launches series cars, you can expect to take the road in the last rides. From the Corvette Stingray 2020, from the Mercedes AMG1 and the Ford Bronco Badlands 2021, the range of vehicles is really amazing. Each car has been completely rendered inside and out to feel like its homologue of real life. The braking and suspension system has also been revised to react with realism. Although this adds to the simulation aspect of the game, developers have always maintained a level of accessibility so that everyone can jump into the driver's seat.

Beautiful Mexico

PLAYGROUND GAMES went beyond to make sure Mexico feels like a place of life and breathing. By working with writers, comedians and Mexican artists, Forza Horizon 5 strives to create an authentic experience that captures the culture of the country. While Covid-19 caused problems, developers have established links with residents to ensure that every aspect seems authentic, which is obvious in the trailer.

Modes and Map

The Eliminator was a resounding success and it returns to Forza Horizon 5. As the mode was introduced one year after the horizon exit 4, Playground Games had to integrate the Eliminator into a predefined card. However, developers have designed the card in Horizon 5 with this mode in mind, resulting in a more coherent experience. A new addition to the game is the Horizon Tour mode. Here you will encounter other drivers and run together against other drivatars. This casual mode has proved to be popular with developers becoming a must in their online sessions. Finally, there is the Event Lab, a mode that gives you development tools to create custom races, challenges and more. You will be able to change the weight of the cars, use the IF / THEN commands to generate strange and wonderful consequences when performing special actions. With a creative work community, I can not wait to see the incredible things that will be built by the players.

Forza Horizon 5 seems not only to be the best iteration of the series, but it also makes progress to become the best driving game of all time. We will cover every aspect of this game, so come back for the latest information.
