Forza Horizon 3 Word Part 1

Byron Bay
Byron Bay is where the Horizon Festival kicks off, with its beachside local and unmistakable lighthouse, you don’t have to go far to find automotive adventure. From the nearby shipwrecks that serve as a fantastic playground area, to the unmistakable Twelve Apostles beach side landmarks, there is so much to explore. Byron Bay may be your starting point, but the automotive adventure in Australia has only just begun.
Forza Horizon 3 Word
Maroondah Waterfall
Welcome to paradise. It’s little wonder that the twin waterfalls south of the Maroondah Reservoir are noted as a “Beauty Spot” in Forza Horizon 3. Consider this a place of respite from the normal top-speed activities in the game. After all, blasting around at the red line for a few hours just begs for some quiet reflection to maintain your balance.
Morton Timber Mill
The timber industry in Australia is thriving as this mill and its many outbuildings clearly show. Stacks of trees and the equipment encumber the landscape which makes for the perfect arena for Infected, King, or Flag Rush. The hilly terrain provides the perfect backdrop to chase or be chased, making it difficult to keep all four wheels on the ground. And that’s half the fun, isn’t it?
Ormiston Gorge
You need to go off the grid a bit to find Ormiston Gorge, nestled in the mountains north of The Outback. Rest assured, the search is worth it, as the Gorge is one of the most spectacular places in all of Forza Horizon 3. The gorgeous natural rock formations are certainly beautiful to look at, and they double as some of the most challenging and gratifying terrain to drive in the game. So bring your best 4X4 and prepare to get dirty.
Outback
You won’t find a more powerful combination of stark beauty and raw potential than Australia’s famed Outback country. There’s more to the Outback than simple desert terrain, however. In Horizon 3, the Outback hosts the longest stretch of high-speed highway in all of Forza Horizon 3, the Redstone Airport, the mining town of Coober Pedy, and a Gold Mine that is a veritable… ahem… gold mine of playground games fun. Whether you’re seeking out the legendary Pink Lakes, or looking to test the upper limits of your favorite track toy, the Outback has got you covered. In other words: this is ‘straya, mate.
Pink Lakes
It might look like alchemy but the titular color of the so-called “Pink Lakes” comes from decidedly non-magical sources: namely brine prawn, algae, and just the right weather and lighting conditions. That formula for beauty doesn’t mean that there’s anything less than magical about the lakes themselves; located east of the Outback and on the outer edge of the map, the Pink Lakes are an ideal spot for cruising in your favorite off-roader, or just looking for a new favorite Forzatography location.
Rainforest
Rainforest might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Australia but here it is, in all its verdant beauty. Whether you’re seeking out the famed Maroondah Waterfalls or simply barreling through the trees trying to find the finish line, the rainforest areas of Forza Horizon 3 are a constant source of natural wonder and serious challenge.
Redstone Airport
Located in the Dry Reservoir, where the sandy terrain and giant dunes provide a rollercoaster ride of jumps, you will find the Redstone Airport. It may not look like much but, the biggest Horizon Festival stars fly in and out of this rural airstrip. There’s plenty to discover or destroy depending on your mood. Amidst the solar arrays, hangers, and equipment this is prime playground games and stunting territory.
